Annemarie Lindner receives the SPA Diamond “Award of Honour” 2015
On April 24, 2015, the Busche publishing house has the pleasure of being able to present the founder of Börlind Gesellschaft für kosmetische Erzeugnisse, Annemarie Lindner, with the SPA Diamond “Award of Honour” in Germany’s Baltic resort of Dierhagen. The laudatory speech for Annemarie Lindner will be held by natural cosmetics expert Elfriede Dambacher.
Annemarie Lindner could herself be regarded as proof of her products’ success, since she looks much younger than her 90 years. With her natural cosmetics products, she has become an industry leader. Today, Börlind is a sought-after brand that is sold successfully all over the globe.
But how did it all start? Teenage acne caused Annemarie Lindner great problems. Yet she did not content herself with listening to the promises of her doctors that “with a husband and, at the latest, a child, everything will improve”. Annemarie Lindner’s cosmetics expertise and pioneering spirit spurred her on to develop products, and eventually turned her into a successful entrepreneur.
The trained beauty therapist who, after only six months, passed her final examinations in Dresden with distinction, set up her own Annemarie Lindner natural cosmetics company in 1954. We owe it to fortunate circumstances that, from an introduction to Hermann Börner – a maker of medicinal products who sold most of his over-the-counter articles via the German Reformhaus health stores – the empire was born on January 1, 1959 under the company name of Börlind, which today has an excellent worldwide reputation and a unique assortment of products.
The SPA Diamond jury respectfully bows down before this unique entrepreneur and is honored to be able to present this award for her lifetime achievements to Annemarie Lindner.
In 2015, the “Award of Honour” is being conferred as one of the SPA Diamonds for the very first time. This category distinguishes figures who have set milestones in the areas of well-being, beauty and the cosmetics industry.
